Following the success of Mentorn Media’s police documentaries, Channel 5 has recommissioned Inside the Force for a second series.
The production company has secured a further eight-part series, which follows the daily challenges of front-line policing in Lincolnshire Police’s busiest police station. Lincolnshire is the least funded police force in the country and this series shows what life is really like for the extraordinary officers and staff at South Park Police Station. This is policing as it happens, capturing what really goes on inside the station and the uncompromising reality of Britain’s streets.
In the first episode of this action packed series, Lincolnshire Police are on the Saturday night shift, when reports come in from the Ambulance service that a man they found unconscious in a residential area is believed to have been assaulted. PC Chloe Barnet heads to the scene where the situation is far more serious than first thought - a suspected murder has occurred and the Major Crime Unit is called in to investigate.
Produced by Mentorn Media, Inside the Force has been commissioned by Adrian Padmore and the Executive Producer is Tayte Simpson.
